About the Team
Vail Valley resident Steve Kisielica is a first-time RAAM participant in 2019, entering the race this year to help celebrate his 50th year in this world. When not spending time with his wife and two children, Steve tortures himself with triathlon training and playing other time-consuming sports such as skiing and golf. For his day job, Steve is Co-Founder and Principal of Chicago-based Lodging Capital Partners, a private equity company investing, developing and asset managing four- and five-star hotels and resorts located across the United States. Steve is a graduate of Michigan State University's School of Business where he is a member of the hospitality school's Advisory Board and is a past recipient of Chicago Crain's Business 40 under 40.
With a world-class athletic mind trapped in an aging suburban dad's body, Ian has competed in several triathlon’s over the years. But nothing compares to the size and scale of RAAM. Ian committed to this epic race to defer the inevitable for a few more years by joining his team's quest to stay in front of the chase vehicles for as long as possible. His motivations to complete RAAM are the highly deserving charities the team is supporting (Tthe Fitler Foundation and the American Cancer Society), the support of his loving family as well as the fear of running out of chammy cream. Ian lives in Short Hills, New Jersey with his fiancé and their five children. He is a graduate of Michigan State University and earned his MBA at Columbia University. Ian is Principal of Chicago-based Lodging Capital Partners and serves as Head of Capital Markets.
